Heroes has finally been cancelled. The show, which faltered halfway through its first season and has been kept alive by NBC’s lack of anything to fill a time slot, has gone from bad to worse as show creator Tim Kring blamed the fans for their criticisms of the show earlier this season.
Joining “Heroes” on the sci-fi chopping block is “FlashForward.” The show was highly anticipated but never delivered the audience. The show was taken off for a while midseason and seems to have had a revolving door for its show runners. The show never recovered when it returned from hiatus.
NBC did renew “Chuck.” Though modestly rated, “Chuck” has been NBC’s steadiest show on Monday nights after “Heroes” sank in the ratings. The show will remain in its Monday, 8:00 p.m. time slot..
Also returning is ABC’s “V”. The remake of the ’80s show had been on the bubble, but a recent rise in ratings convinced ABC to give it another chance next season.
